Hi! I am Dr. Barnes-Marrero, founder of Neurogenesis Cognitive and Memory Center. I am a bilingual clinical neuropsychologist who provides culturally informed psychological and neuropsychological evaluations in English and Spanish to Florida residents. I also see patients across the United States from the convenience of their homes.
As a neuropsychologist, I am passionate about conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, as I believe in the value of data-driven treatments. These assessments provide a comprehensive understanding of your situation, empowering you to leverage your strengths for a better quality of life. Testing can sometimes feel like a cold process. I promise there is nothing to be afraid of. It is not like school—there are no right or wrong answers; it is not a pass-or-fail situation. Instead, it is a way to comprehensively understand what you are going through. I will meet YOU genuinely interested in where you have been and what is happening. My approach is centered around you, creating a space free from judgment. My friendly and approachable nature is aimed at making you feel at ease. You won't encounter a cold, impersonal approach when working with me. Instead, you'll experience warmth and understanding. I will work with you to identify your cognitive strengths and provide guidance to improve any weaknesses. Regardless of your diagnosis, my ultimate goal is to empower you with God's guidance and wisdom so you can confidently understand your brain health and plan for the future.
I take a holistic approach to virtual testing and assessment and consider culture, history, and background to understand cognitive-emotional patterns, brain aging, and brain resilience to disease and trauma. I will empower you with data on your brain health and strengths and share tips to improve cognitive weaknesses or decline.
